Border Park secures RFF Funds

Border Park RFC have had a funding application approved by the Rugby Football Foundation (RFF). The fund of £5000 will be put towards pitch drainage with the view of enabling the club to host more home games during the winter months. Having been described as a 'sodden memory foam mattress' by a visiting team in 2017, Groundsman Joe Northwood has dedicated great time and effort to improving the playing surface at Symons Park.

"The grant is great news," said Northwood enthusiastically, "I will be able to get my Tonka Toys onto the pitch throughout the year & get it looking like the Twickenham of the North."

Drainage works are expected to commence after the Border Park RFC Fools 10's on April 1st 2018.
